Last year Petersburg Real Estate made over 24,000 in the new construction market, while the year 2013 saw 16,500 transactions. The volume of company’s sales in 2014 amounted to 871,000 sq. m in houses under construction in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region.
“We achieved the highest results in the fourth quarter of 2014,” Oleg Pashin, CEO of the Petersburg Real Estate Project Development Center, says. “In October and November we made about 2,300 transactions of apartments sale in new houses monthly. In the stampede December we closed 3,550 transactions in the new construction market, which is an absolute record both for our company and for the market on the whole.”
According to Oleg Pashin, liquid small-size apartments in the mass-market segment – one-room flats and studios – were in the keenest demand as always. Sites under construction in Primorsky and Krasnoselsky Districts of the city, and new houses being built in Vsevolozhsky District of Leningrad Region, for example, in Kudrovo and Murino, were very popular. In the business and premium segments, buyers chose primarily new housing that was offered to the market in 2014. Examples of such housing are residential estates under construction in Tsentralny, Petrogradsky, and Primorsky Districts of the city.
