Petersburg Real Estate Sells 13% More Housing in October than in the Most Active Months of the Year

In October 2014 Petersburg Real Estate made 2300 transactions in the market of housing under construction. This was 13% more than in February, March, April or September, the peak demand months of the year.

According to Oleg Pashin, CEO of Petersburg Real Estate PDC, in periods of economic instability and growth of currency exchange rates the population invests in real estate, which is the most reliable and understandable asset. “2300 transactions in the new construction market per month is the absolute record for our company and for the market of real estate under construction in our region,” Oleg Pashin says. “E.g., in September 2014 our sales volume in new houses amounted to 2,100 apartments, while in the “peak” months early this year – in February, March and April – it was 2,000 apartments. Liquid small-size apartments – studios and one-room flats – are in keenest demand, as they have always been.”

Buyers take interest in new houses at various stages of construction. Many new projects have been offered in the market for the recent several months. They are residential estates of Setl City: Aliye Parusa (Scarlet Sails) in Nevsky District, Chistoye Nebo (Clear Sky) in Primorsky District and Solnechny Gorod (Sun City) in Krasnoselsky District, as well as Kraski Leta (Colours of Summer) from Polis Group in Murino, Shuvalovsky from LSR. Realty Northwest, Ultra City from Severny Gorod (Northern City) in Primorsky District, and other sites.
