Setl City To Build Housing and a Kindergarten on Petrovsky Island
2016 march 02
Setl City (a company of Setl Group) has made a transaction of the acquisition of a land plot about 3.6 ha in area in Petrovsky Avenue (house 26, letter Б), where it is planning to build 37,500 sq. m of business-class housing and a kindergarten for 160 kids. The construction is to start in 2017. The project is to be implemented within about three years.
The land plot to be acquired is situated between Petrovsky Avenue and the embankment of Malaya Neva on a part of the former industrial area, which belonged to the Almaz shipyard before 2008 and was taken out of industrial service after the shipyard acquired the second production site on Vasilyevsky Island. Here Setl City will build a residential estate of several buildings with a varying height up to 9 storeys, a car-park (for about 600 cars) and a detached kindergarten for 160 children. A school for 825 pupils will be built on the adjacent land plot. The roughly estimated volume of investment in the project is 7 billion roubles.
A well thought-out architecture, views of Malaya Neva and an atmosphere of privacy created by the small scale of the construction will be the distinguishing features of the project. At the moment, the project is under design.
For Setl City, this is already the twelfth project for the redevelopment of an industrial site within St. Petersburg boundaries; four sites have already been commissioned (the Lake House, Avangard, Atlanta and Atlanta-2 residential estates), six are under construction (the Polyustrovo Park, The Residence and Stockholm residential estates, the Riverside high-class residential area, the Nevskiye Parusa (Neva Sails) and ZimaLeto residential estates), and another one is under design (Palazzio estate).
