Setl City to Repair and Equip a Home for Dogs in St. Petersburg
2018 september 26
Setl City (a company of Setl Group) will have repaired an animal home in Nevsky district for its own account. The company will invest about 9.5 million rubles in the decoration and equipment of the new building on Glukhoozerskoye Highway. Currently, the home for dogs, which exists under the patronage of the Help to Homeless Dogs charity foundation, is situated in a small one-storey building on Torfyanaya Doroga. The shelter needs a significant expansion of the area and re-equipment, so it is expected that it will move to a new, more comfortable and spacious building. The center at 20, Glukhoozerskoye Highway will become a new home for dogs. The building has already been erected to the order of the St. Petersburg Administration, but it has not been connected to utility lines or power grids. Setl City will perform the precommissioning of the water supply, heating and ventilation systems, indoor and outdoor lighting networks, install video surveillance systems and intercom systems. Finishing works will be completed; tiles will be laid, the plaster updated and the partitions for the enclosures heightened. The roof will be repaired, too. The building will be fully equipped, including a computer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Grid enclosures for dog walking will appear. Setl City plans to start the repairs in October 2018. Work completion is expected in January 2019. This is not the first time that the Setl Group holding company helps stray animals. This year alone, the company’s employees have supported two St. Petersburg shelters, the Abandoned Angel on Vasilyevsky Island and the Good Town in the Moskovsky district of the city. Food for dogs and cats, medicines, toys, leashes, shampoos and delicacies collected by the holding company's employees have been brought to the shelters.
