Vienna is the Most Conveniently Planned Residential Estate in Leningrad Region

Vienna residential estate has been recognized the winner in the Best Implemented Project nomination of the Living Environment competition. Living Environment is an annual competition that has been held for the first time this year. The competition’s committee was headed by Yevgeny Domrachev, Chairman of the Architecture and Urban Development Committee of Leningrad Region, and the jury consisted of the heads of three committees of the region’s administration, representatives of the architectural community and the executive director of the Union of Construction Organizations of Leningrad Region.
The competition’s committee assessed the automobile infrastructure, walkways and bicycle paths, hardscape elements, benches, flowerbeds, wheelchair ramps, lighting, information plates and stands, landscaping, waste disposal solutions, facilities for children and sports, and the availability and appearance of public zones.
The jury has particularly noted the beautification of the recreation space on the embankments along the brook, the red asphalt pedestrian boulevards and reproductions of Gustav Klimt’s paintings on firewalls of residential houses in Vienna estate.
It is to be recalled that at the moment the construction of the Vienna estate is in its final stage. The last stage is under construction and will be commissioned in a year. The entire Seven Capitals project, which includes Vienna, is to expected to be completed in 2018. 7 kindergartens, 2 schools, 3 sporting venues, the Square of Europe promenade area in the London estate and many shopping and service facilities such as cafés, restaurants, drugstores, bank offices, medical centers and beauty parlors will be built here.
